Eden Mennonite Church of Moundridge, Kansas as part of their centennial
celebration in 1995. However, the story of the Eden church related
here actually began in 1874 when nearly every member of the Stucky
Gemeinde, a congregation from Kotosufka village in southwestern Russia,
immigrated to the United States and settled in McPherson County,
Kansas. In Kansas, the congregation was charged as the Hoffnungsfeld
Church. The Eden Church grew out of a split in the congregation some
twenty years later. Carefully researched through the use of archival materials and other church records, the author also gained insight through many oral interviews. The book contains a photographic history of the Eden Church with a selection of more than 20 photographs and illustrations. | |
